2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Calculate your Rasi, Navamsa, Lagna, Nakshatra and Dasa Bhukti periods
- Generate downloadable/printable Jathagam charts (image or PDF)
- Compute Porutham (marriage compatibility) scores between two charts
- Enforce fair daily usage limits and prevent abuse of the Service
- Display your saved chart summary back to you within the same session
- Improve the accuracy, performance and language support of the Site
We do not use your birth data for advertising, and your individual chart data is not published or made searchable by other visitors.
3. Third-Party Sharing
To perform the underlying astronomical calculations (sidereal planetary longitudes using the Lahiri Ayanamsha), your date, time and place of birth are sent to a third-party astrology calculation API. This provider processes the data solely to return calculation results to our Site and does not use it for any other purpose that we control.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to marketers or data brokers. Information may otherwise be disclosed only where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to investigate fraud or abuse of the Service.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
The Site may use cookies, session storage and browser local storage to remember your selected chart language (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam), keep track of your current session, and measure daily usage against the free quota. These are functional in nature and are not used for third-party advertising tracking.
5. Data Retention
Birth details and generated chart data are retained only for as long as necessary to provide the Service to you — for example, so you can revisit a previously generated chart within the same session or account. We may keep aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics (such as daily request counts) for longer, in order to manage server capacity and the daily usage limit.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect the information you submit, including restricting database access and transmitting data over secure connections where configured. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Jathagam and matrimony-matching charts are often generated by parents or guardians on behalf of children or family members. If you submit a minor's birth details, you confirm that you are their parent, guardian, or otherwise authorised to do so. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without such authorisation.
